AUDIENCE: Heritage learners or Spanish for native speakers
RESOURCE: Here is the clip this is taken from, the first twenty minutes (https://youtu.be/JnFYpvlrCFI). I actually have the DVD series, which is also available on Amazon.
OBJECTIVE: What is provided here is lists of words used in a professional business realm that students will need to listen for. Examples include "accounting", "manage systems", "rub shoulders with", and "secretarial duties". Students are given 32 words and phrases in English, asked to guess how they will be said in Spanish, and then will need to listen for how they are used in the episode.
There are also some cultural elements in these episodes, and questions about that are included in the activity.
*Updated on 1/25/2017 to include a portion where students write descriptions of the two employees interviewed in the episode. Those who have purchased can re-download to receive that!*
