These are activities from the first page and a half of La Historia del Rey Transparente por Rosa Montero. They are designed to guide upper-level Spanish students reading using context clues to understand a literary text and figure out unknown words. There are 13 comprehension questions and 12 vocabulary identifications (allows for translation into English or definition in Spanish). They are all free response questions and I have included a complete answer key. The book selection is provided with the activities under the fair use clause of copyright law since it is well under the 10% / one chapter maximum and this activity is for educational use only. The product charge is only for the activities. These activities have worked well in my AP Spanish Language classes for several years. The selection is particularly good when studying identity as it discusses the life of a peasant who was able to overcome her origins as a serf and accomplish great things.
