This growing set currently includes 10 types of worksheets to practice la. Solfege needs to be sung, but it needs to be read and written, too. When applicable, each of these worksheets is available with "so" or "sol", as well as answer keys. As listed in the worksheet descriptions below, some worksheets are available in both standard notation and stick notation, and with the 3-line staff and the 5-line staff.
Songs referred to in this set are Lucy Locket, Bobby Shafto, Bounce High, Little Sally Water, Here Comes a Bluebird, and Bounce High Bounce Low.
Included in this set:
La Song Match-Up: students draw a line from the stick notation or standard notation rhythm to the song title (both "so" and "sol" versions are included)
Mystery La Songs: students name the song shown (stick notation, standard notation, 3-line staff, and 5-line staff versions included)
Looking for La: students circle the notehead for la in each example (both 3-line and 5-line staff versions included)
Melody Match: Students draw a line to connect the stick/standard notation to the melody on the 5-line staff
La Rhythm Trace: students trace the stems and beams on the staff (3-line and 5-line staff versions included)
Stick to Staff: students transfer the stick/standard notation to the staff
Line Dancing with La: Trace the melodies on the 5-line staff. La will be on a line.
La in Space:Trace the melodies on the 5-line staff. La will be in a space.
Lucy Locket: The la's are missing from the melody on the 5-line staff. Fill in the missing la's. Another version includes the stick notation above the staff, so that the students can add the stems and beams.
Bobby Shafto: students complete the melody of the song, filling in the missing note heads and their rhythm. The stick notation is provided above the staff, and the sofa is provided below.
