Product Description
This set of worksheets is designed to help your students practice la in patterns with sol and mi.

This set is also included in the money saving bundle: Solfa {Ready, Set, Print! Bundle}

*The zip file contains a copy to be used for "sol and mi" as well as "so and mi". Just use whichever version you need!

It includes:
- "A New Neighbor on Solfa Street" worksheets. This also comes in a "Melody Street" and "Music Street" version. If you call your solfa street something else, let me know and I will customize it for you. Students show which house is sol mi and la on Solfa Street. Then, they trace sol mi and la on the staff.

- "So mi la trace" Trace in each s-m-l pattern on the staff and then fill in the note heads.

- "So mi la Trace and Place" - trace the sol-mi on each staff and place la on the correct line or space.

- "Can You Copycat?" worksheet- sol mi la patterns are notated and the students must copy them onto a blank staff. This is great practice! Often times kids have a hard time with copying notes, so this provides some reinforcement.

- "On the search for la" - Sol and mi are showed on staff in a variety of places, students circle to show which note is sol. This comes in two versions, one with filled in note heads and one with empty note heads.

- "Color by Solfa" or "Color by Solfege" - sol mi and la are shown in various places on the staff. Color the sol's blue, the mi's yellow, and the la's purple.

- "Ickle Ockle Blue Bottle" Students cut and paste the patterns to put the song in order.

- "Lucy Locket" Students cut and paste the patterns to put the song in order.

- "Bounce High, Bounce Low" Students cut and paste the patterns to put the song in order.

- "La Match Up" Students draw a line to match up the first four beats of each song to the correct song title and picture. (Songs include Naughty Kitty Cat, Lucy Locket, Bounce High Bounce Low, and Ickle Ockle).

- "Compose your own la song" - Students use given rhythms (ta titi and rest) to create a plan for their own composition by writing s m or l under each one and then moving it down to the staff.

- "Which box do you hear?" - (Newly added 2/16/15) Teacher sings a pattern and students circle the box that contains the correct s-m-l pattern on a five line staff. Two options to choose from on each question.
