This clothing activity includes writing, speaking and listening in the target language. I used side 1 on a day that I needed sub plans, but this could be completed in 1 instructional day. Students work individually to write 6 complete sentences in Spanish, describing what someone wears from head to toe. I ask that they include colors and patterns.
The next day (or step 2) is to have the students work with a partner to "dress" their person. Partner 1 reads their sentences aloud in Spanish (and Spanish only) and Partner 2 draws what they hear. After all 6 sentences, partners check for accuracy. Then they switch roles.
I have also found that the students love to do this WITH the teacher. I can describe an outfit for them, or they can describe one for me to draw. You could also use this on the iPads.
