A Desfile de Moda is a great way to let your students use what they've learned in your clothing unit in a fun and creative way! Project Based Learning and Assessment.
This 9 page packet has helpful tips for the teacher plus student explanation, check list, rubric and an example fashion sketch!
This is a reading, writing and speaking activity. Students work in small groups to work up descriptions of outfits, practice their routine and then the whole class puts on a fashion show!
What teachers have to say:
"The graphics really drew in the students and made them want to look at the instructions. My students absolutely had a blast with this activity. Even my shy students found ways to let their personalities show in their writing and in their outfits. I allowed my students to do a video of their fashion show, and those were almost better than the ones done live! Kids can be so clever when given freedom to work, which this activity certainly allows for."
"This is one of the greatest activities we've done in class. At first, no one wanted to "walk down the runway". Once they started they had a great time. The boys were really into it! haha"
"This was so much fun! I created a runway with lights and had music playing when students walked in the classroom. They were engaged and had fun completing the assignment! Thank you for sharing!"
