*Updated to include online version* This 3-4 day reading and writing activity is a great way for your students to receive comprehensible input and interact with a text during the Realidades 1 4B chapter. After reading the story, they are all ready to write their own story using Google Slides or Bookcreator.com.

There are two versions included, depending on the situation of your class:

Option A) For classes that meet in person

This option begins with a reading activity has three versions of a story that build up students’ ability to understand a complicated text. In the first version, a boy describes the activities he’ll participate in for a week, with comprehension questions at the end. The next version contains every sentence from the previous one, but with new details added in and new comprehension questions. The third version is a full-page story about the boy’s week that contains the previous version, but again with new comprehension questions.

Students then write their own stories, create a presentation with their stories, and present them to a small group. Detailed instructions are included with the product.

Option B) For online classes (#DistanceLearning)

For this option, students read and listen to an ebook. They then do a comprehension check via a multiple choice game at Quizizz.com (link to the ebook and game are in the product).

Students then write their own stories, create a presentation with their stories, and share the links to their presentations with the teacher. The teacher posts these, and students read other presentations and write what they learned about their classmates.
