This is an active, engaging stations activity IN SPANISH in which your students will learn about what life was like on the Great Plains during the time of Westward Expansion from the 1850s to late 1800s. This resource contains four informational posters about Cowhands, Ranchers, Farmers and Families, and teaches all about why they moved West, what their daily life was like, and what struggles they had to endure day to day. A graphic organizer accompanies the posters so students can take notes, OR you can assign each poster to a group and have students put together a skit or performance in which THEY deliver the key information to their classmates! Either way, students will look forward to moving around the classroom and getting out of their seats with this activity.
This activity is GREAT for beginner- to intermediate-level ENLs!
