This unit has everything you need to have your fifth graders talking about the house and things in the house in Spanish, with a cultural focus on Central America. With carefully selected visuals, students will practice rooms in the house, objects in the rooms, and family members using sentence structures like hay, no hay, es, no es, está. The presentation has many different chances for the students to practice interpersonal communication, as well as presentational speaking. There are meaningful activities, links to videos, games, teacher suggestions, and a section on typical houses from Central America. With an interpretive listening and an interpersonal speaking assessment (workksheet included). The pages follow a logical teaching pace, which will lead you through the unit. It is aligned to the new FL standards, at the novice high level. A great resource for a FLES program.
