These 20 minute activities teach prepositional expressions without making it confusing for younger kids. You just model the language and they practice through repetition by playing the games and completing worksheets, crafts, and following your examples. It also has more complex activities for advance or older students, with explanations and worksheets appropriate for the different levels.
This set includes:
12 parts of the house flashcards
24 furniture flashcards
12 prepositional flashcards for games and vocabulary recall.
11 worksheets for different levels.
and more than 15 games/activities to promote language production.
The lessons are based on three grammatical subjects: prepositions of place, pronouns as prepositions, and the verb “estar”.
My goal as a language teacher, and native spanish speaker, is to not only teach the vocabulary, but also increase their abilities in using high frequency phrases, reading and writing, grammar, fluency, comprehension, language production, etc. I have found that these short lessons keep them focused, on task, and actually having fun while learning!
You can always use more than one activity if I have the time, and play the games to review at the beginning of each class.
I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
