This activity contains a short story about a family of mice. There is a focus on present tense regular -er and -ir verbs. I use this story after teaching -er and -ir verbs in the present tense as well as the forms of ser. I also use it to review the forms of adjectives. The focus vocabulary includes: vive, corre, se sienta, and soy.
The story in divided into short paragraphs. Each paragraph is followed by several questions in Spanish, which offer further repetition of the specified vocabulary. This story can be used as a reading activity or a listening comprehension activity.
