I like doing a Pizza Day during the food unit. This is a speaking activity based on building a dream pizza. I usually do this after doing my telepizza.es activity.
-Students will use the following dialogue:
A: ¿Cómo se llama tu pizza?
B: Mi pizza se llama...
A:¿Qué contiene tu pizza?
B: Mi pizza contiene...
A: Qué sabroso/ Qué asco
There is a recipe card for students to fill out to help them in their activity as well as a place to tally how many que asco/que sabrosos they get. There is also a color coded dialogue guide that can be screenshot from the PDF and put into a PPT slide if you please. You can review at the end by having people share their pizzas and having the class vote que sabroso/que asco OR have them count up their tallies and find out what the ingredients on the best pizzas were OR even just find out who's was most creative.
This activity works best when scaffolded with vocabulary for pizza toppings either from an authentic source (menu, website) or just input from teacher beforehand.
