This unit reviews family members and focuses on interpersonal skills, so that your students will be able to speak about their families in Spanish. With carefully selected pictures and engaging activities and games, students have many opportunities to practice the following vocabulary: mamá, papá, madre, padre, hermano, hermana, abuelo, abuela, tío, tía, primo, prima, perro, gato, using it in complete sentences. It includes a link to a video, a game, an interpretive reading assessement, an interpersonal speaking assessment (with a worksheet attached), a presentational writing assessment and a suggestion for a presentational speaking assessment, as well as a cultural connection to families in Central America, with explanations and teaching suggestions.
