activity with telling time in Spanish.
Included are two versions of the game. Version 1 has students say the time in Spanish and they have to figure if it matches the digits written on their card under "yo tengo". Version 1 is the opposite (students say the time in English and they have to decide if it matches the Spanish phrase they have on their card for "yo tengo"). When the 30 cards are distributed it will go in a complete circle if done correctly (The 30th card goes back to student 1 who started with their "quién tiene").
One student starts with "quién tiene and the student who has it says "yo tengo ".
As a follow up/more interactive version to keep all students listening even after they say their card, use version 1 with the worksheet. For this students will only say the quién tiene part aloud. Who ever has the correct time says "yo tengo" but they do NOT say the time in English. All students need to be listening to the Spanish phrase of the time and write down the digits on their worksheet. (Whoever starts = #1 on the worksheet). As a follow up activity students can go back after and write the phrases next to the digits they wrote for numbers 1-30. (Good repetition!)
Collect as homework or you can check in class by going over it again!
