This is a game that follows the same format as the popular game, Spot It ! It has 13 different pizza topping vocabulary words (based off of the Charlotte Diamond song "Je suis une pizza" song with some other toppings too).
1. Based on the understanding and the familiarity that the students have with the vocabulary, you may want to print out the vocabulary sheet listed below for each student or project it for the students to see.
2. Print and cut out the game card deck (1 deck for each pair of students or group of 3 I would recommend). For the sake of the game, I recommend cardstock and/or laminated cards. There are 13 cards in the end.
3. Students in their groups are to shuffle the cards and leave them face down in a pile. Two cards get flipped over in a round. The first student to identify the commonality between the two cards earns a point for that round. The cards can constantly be reshuffled and reused to continue the game since there are over 150 different combinations.
4. The commonalities are unique to each pairing. Every two cards only have ONE commonality.
