This thematic unit about clothing and weather will engage your students with real life tasks! The unit has 2 different performance tasks (aligned to the WL standards, which are included): a writing task and a interpretive/presentational task. It presents several destinations in Guatemala, along with some geographical terms, so that students can plan a trip and pack according to the weather. With carefully selected images, and a lot of appropriate videos, the many activities and games are designed to have students speaking about clothing, with a cultural focus on Central American countries. The unit emphasizes the correct noun+adjective agreement and order, without focusing on the grammar. It has detailed teacher's notes and suggestions, a worksheet about noun/adjective agreement (2 levels), a worksheet for note taking, and a differentiated package to practice writing. It is aligned with the NC Standard Course of study clarifying objectives (interpretive reading, listening, writing), and covers all World Language modes, at the novice high level.
