These Spanish task cards are a great way to help your students practice asking and answering questions!!!
Each card presents a question and a possible answer, and students must decide if the answer is logical or not. The illogical answers have been designed to cover common mistakes students make, such as confusing one interrogative with another (for example, answering what they eat for breakfast when the question asks when they eat breakfast) or not using the appropriate subject in their response (for example, answering the question “How much water do you drink?” by saying “You drink 8 glasses per day” instead of “I drink 8 glasses per day.”)
Two different styles of student answer sheet have been provided. One simply asks students to check whether the answer is logical or illogical. The other asks students to correct the illogical responses by writing a logical response on the answer sheet. You can choose which works best for your students, or use the different styles of answer sheet to differentiate the work within your classroom. I have provided an answer key, including possible logical responses for the illogical questions. Use the answer keys to quickly correct student work, or make them available for students to check their own work after they have finished.
These cards are thematically aligned with a unit on health and wellness, so every question/answer deals with related topics, ranging from healthy eating choices to symptoms and diseases. Help students master asking and answering questions while reinforcing key vocabulary!
Task cards can be used in so many ways in the classroom! Give these cards to fast finishers to keep them on task and working in the language. Set up circumlocution speaking stations or play a fun game of Scoot. The possibilities are almost endless!
