With this lab activity, students will first use the Power Point to start their 'lab write-up'. When the written portion of their lab is complete, they will break into separate groups, and move around the room in stations to test and observe different objects and the ways their energy begins and and ends to make the device work.
The Power Point and write-up encourages students to better understand the scientific method and prepare for future grade levels in which writing up a lab is expected.
Required materials: Flashlight, Tuning Fork, Wind-Up Car, iPhone, Hairdryer, Fan, CD Player, Toaster Over, Donuts for the kids!, Solar Powered Calculator, and anything else that takes in energy and changes it into a different form of energy. These are just suggested materials... you can substitute any of these for something else.
