This is a self created science assessment that can be used to assess students competence of lab safety rules along with what specific science tools are used for in a science lab. Great for special education students or those who participate in alternate assessment. Tools covered on the assessment consist of a thermometer, pan balance, and microscope. Students are also asked to demonstrate their knowledge of their five senses on the assessment. To go along with that, students are also assessed on basic lab safety rules through examining a picture and then finding two of the potential safety concerns. Finally, the assessment asks the students to identify the steps of the scientific method and respond to a short extend response question.
