PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students will complete this lab during a unit on reproduction and development. Each group will be given one bird egg, and answer one prediction question. Students will then crack open their egg to reveal the contents. With the help of a diagram (not provided), students will see if they can identify all parts of the egg. Students will record each part on a chart once they locate it, and predict what function that part serves. Finally, students will label a diagram of an egg with the parts they located in their real eggs, and color in the diagram using the correct colors.
