Teach your students how to label the axes on a bar graph with this fun and interactive activity! Enlarge a blank copy of the graph to use while talking about what type of information you might find on a graph. As the students list their ideas (i.e. title, the number of something), fill in the designated spots where you would find this information.
This activity is designed with cut and paste labels and clearly defined areas for easy placement. To differentiate your instruction for higher learners, forgo the use of the labels and have them write in their own. Once the graph is labeled, students can sort their M&M's on the sorting mat and graph their findings.
