This project takes the student through labeling the entire periodic table.
→element symbol, number and mass
→solid, liquids and gases
→color-coded groups (alkali, alkaline-earth, transition, basic metals, non-metals, halogens, metalloids, noble gases, lanthanides, actanides)
→electronegativity trends of the table
This project generally takes my classes about 2 or 3- 50 minute periods to complete. I have let them use their notes, the textbook and internet to find the information. I will often let them use their tables for the unit test.
The instructions are printed on regular 8.5x11 paper. The blank periodic table is printed on 8.5x14 paper.
