Give students a voice in their learning!
Students love to have choice and take ownership of what they learn. These idea books make it easy for students to share their wishes.
Cut apart the composition book covers and laminate. Staple or glue to the front of a composition book. Laminate and cut apart the topic labels.
Attach one to the top of a page in the composition book. Leave a few blank pages in between each label so that students may write many ideas.
Two composition book covers are provided. You may choose to use one or both. The topic labels are provided for the “What We Want to Learn” book.
Try to incorporate as many of their wishes as possible. You may be able to weave these topics into science, reading, writing, or more. At the least you can create some book bins based on the topics students want to learn about. What a way to promote reading!
