This label sheet can be used for articulation carryover targeting /s/ and /r/ in all positions. Use for games such as Jenga or fishing. Made for Avery 8167 labels (return address sized).
For Jenga: put one red word and one blue word on each side of a Jenga block. Put one purple sticker on remaining blocks. Students targeting /s/ look for blue or purple words. Students targeting /r/ look for red or purple. When a student pulls a block out, they read the appropriate word and then can repeat it, or use it in a phrase or sentence.
For fishing: Place each word on an index card or fish-shaped cut out. On each card/fish should be a paperclip. Make a “fishing pole” by attaching a piece of string to a dowel and tying a magnet on the end. Students take turn fishing. Once they catch a fish, they can use the words as suggested above. Points can be assigned to each word to increase student participation.
