The Labor Day Holiday in Spanish teachers the history of this important national holiday that definitely reflects a lot of our situations today with immigration and other news taking place in our country.
This product contains a short story of the Labor Day Holiday in the United States and a brief description of the International Workers Day or Labour Day Holiday Celebration around the world. A lot of countries in the world celebrate this holiday mostly because of the influence of the Haymarket Affair that took place in Chicago in 1886.
I have included also some task cards for the students to practice by themselves, in groups or partners and review everything learned in this document. Also, a list of all the countries in the world that celebrate this Holiday and a 10-question test with Answer Key for you to check on your students’ understanding of this article about Labor Day.
