This product provides a quick, easy reference sheet for 26 common pieces of laboratory equipment. The 2-page chart includes a picture, description, use, and potential materials for each piece of equipment.
It also includes a matching activity that allows students to match 12 of the pieces of lab equipment with their picture, usage, and a simple line drawing showing what the equipment might look like in a diagram, helping students match tricky lab diagrams to real equipment. Finally, a lab scenario half-sheet gives students examples of lab situations and asks what equipment could be used (for example, "Hold 75mL of boiling water").
The product also includes a 1-page teacher guide and an answer key for the scenario activity.
The following lab equipment is included: balance, beaker, Bunsen burner, buret/burette, chemical scoop/spoon, clay triangle, crucible, Erlenmeyer flask, evaporating dish, Florence flask, funnel, graduated cylinder, hot plate, mortar and pestle, pipette, ring stand/ring, stir rod, test tube, test tube holder, test tube rack, volumetric flask, wash bottle, watch glass, weigh boat, well plate, and wire gauze.
