Use this engaging Ladybug Addition activity to teach addition to beginning learners. Give students a die and have them roll it once. They will draw the corresponding number of spots on the left side of the ladybug. Then they will roll the die a second time and do the same on the right side. Have the students count the spots on each side of the ladybug and write the number sentence. You can print out the large ladybug template on red paper and laminate it. Use black pom poms as spots to practice with a small group, individually or at math stations.
