Product Description
A great variety of activities to review your students' ELA skills! You can choose from two forms of printables or task cards OR use them all. The information in each passage is different, giving your students a great deal of information about Ladybugs. Topics included(but definitely not limited to): life cycle, legends, eating habits, hibernation, and coloration. Written for grades three and four, but suitable for any student that needs additional skill practice or homeschool. You could use as test prep, morning work, transition practice, or skill review. Answer keys included.

W 3.1, 4.1 W 3.1, 4.1 – Write an opinion piece. Use details to support your point of view.
RI 3.1, 4.1 – Demonstrate understanding of the passage.
RI 3.2, 4.2 – Determine the main idea and supporting details.
RI 3.6- Determine the author’s point of view and determine if your point of view is the same. Explain why or why not?
RI 3.8, 4.5- Describe cause and effect or problems and solutions.
RI 4.8 – Identify evidence to support a statement. Explai how it supports the statement.
L 4.1g- correctly use homonyms
L 3.4a, 4.4a- Define unknown words using context clues.
L 3.4b, 4.4b-Define new words that have a prefix or suffix added to them.
L 3.5, 4.5c- Distinguish between different types of figurative language and interpret it. Identify words that are synonyms or antonyms.
