Brought to you by Kodaly Music With Mrs Perry, this gem is highly interactive. It can be used for both rhythm and melody, has accompaniment parts and puts on a show! Here is what you get:
*RHYTHM - Watch the drum beater travel along in the song, tapping each drum beat. The beats contain the lyrics. Ask the students which drum beat contains 3 syllables. This will lead into a discussion of uneven sounds and your prepare lesson. On the next page, the drums all look the same. Have students notate it in whatever manner you choose.
*MELODY - There are two pages of melody. The notation is black. If you choose to use it that way, fine. If you wish to use it as a way of assessing understanding or a crutch in note reading, you may tap any or all notes and they will turn color. This makes it easy to discuss the relationship between do and low la and la.
*ACCOMPANIMENT - Xylophone and drums parts are provided. The drum parts contain the rhythmic focus and a prepare part is provided, along with a practice part. Tap for your choice.
