This set of cards has a capital and lowercase version of each letter in large white print on a gray background. Print, laminate and cut out, then put in a center with writing tools. Dry erase markers, dry erase crayons, vis-a-vis markers, or anything 'erasable' works! If you prefer, print a set for each child and use crayons or colored pencils, then send home. Students trace each letter with multiple colors until the letter looks like a 'rainbow'.
This activity provides the muscle memory repetition necessary for letter formation.
This can be an instant Literacy Center, morning work at the beginning of the year when letters are being introduced, desk work practice, and even homework. Works great for small group or one-on-one remediation work for letter recognition!
