Language Arts Slap Jacks is a versatile game for grades 1st-3rd that helps students learn to identify pronouns, nouns, adjectives, verbs, compound words, and contractions. It is really six games in one! You only have to make the game once and your students can play six different game throughout the school year.
Here is how it works:
Print out the word cards (colored paper is best)
Laminate the cards (if desired)
Shuffle the cards
The students play the Slap Jacks game, each time focusing on a different Language Arts skill
This game is very easy to play and it can be used throughout the school year for many different skills, including review of previously taught skills. It can be played as a whole group if you print multiple copies, or it can be played in a small group literacy canter. The best part is you only have to teach the students how to play one time and they can play all six games!
