This is a language arts word wall with definitions and examples. The definitions are simplified and to be used as a reference. The following terms are included: cause and effect, imagery, simile, metaphor, hyperbole, idiom, onomatopoeia, alliteration, oxymoron, symbolism, cliche, mood, plot, exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, resolution, figurative language, author's purpose, types of essays you can write, parts of speech, noun, verb, adjective, pronoun, adverb, conjunction, preposition, and interjection. This also includes a "said is dead" and "good is no good" posters. I was consistent with the font, colors, and style so that it is not visually overwhelming for students. I can change the colors if you would like to purchase this in a different color scheme, just email me!
Why did I create this?
1. I have found that students weren't taking advantage of traditional posters hung in the room because they couldn't see the font.
2. Some students did not benefit from just having words on the wall, they needed a bit more information, so I added the definitions and examples.
