These 24 easy-to-read cards are a great way to elicit language
from your students, help them learn to talk about their feelings,
get them thinking, and even practice their public speaking skills!
To use, print and cut out the cards. Place them in a box, which
you can decorate to make it special, and have students pick out
a card. If the student is able to read, he or she can do so and
then answer to an eager audience (you and/or the class). If the
student is unable to read, you can read it for him or her.
Use these cards at any of these times, in any of these ways:
- at the beginning, middle or end of circle time
- one-on-one with shy students
- at the end of an activity
- at the end of the day
- as a smart fill-in when you realized you under-planned
