Print out pages 1-31 and laminate for durability.
Cut the pages in half on the solid black line and bind on the left hand side or use a hole punch to make 2 holes and attach the pages with metal rings to make a book.
Present the probe on each page. The student should point to the correct picture to show listener responding, “Show me, touch the, point to the.”. If the student does not respond or gives an incorrect answer, point to the correct picture, say, “That’s (correct answer)” and then provide a distractor such as “touch your nose” then present the question again. You may need to physically prompt the student to point to the correct answer.
Questions, “What is he/she doing?” target vocabulary, What questions. and present progressive verbs.
The third type of question, “Who is (verb)?” targets pronouns he/she and who questions. The target response should be, “He/she is”.
Pages 32-41 can be printed out and laminated. Cut apart and used for vocabulary practice such as:
1. Drill practice-mix up all of the cards, present one at a time and ask the student to tell you, “What is he/she doing?” or “What is this?” or “Who is (verb)?”
2. Lay 2-4 different verb cards on the table face up and ask the student, “show me, point to, touch (verb)”.
