Description

These language lessons are a 3 page worksheet made to use when teaching Workshop 7 (Your Brain Exposed) from the Read 180 Stage C RBook. It is set up as a worksheet that students can write their answers on.There are six parts to the assignment:

1) Parts of Speech: (7 questions) Actual sentences from the workshop are used and students are asked to find the nouns, verbs, adjectives, etc. in each sentence. The purpose is to help students review parts of speech in the context of the workshop.
2) Grammar: (8 questions) Actual sentences from the workshop are used with incorrect grammar and students are asked to correct the grammatical errors in each sentence. The purpose is to help students practice editing sentences in the context of the workshop.
3) Spelling: (4 questions) Actual sentences from the workshop are used with misspelled words and students are asked to identify and correct the spelling of the words. The purpose is to help students identify and correct misspelled words using the context of the workshop.
4) Vocabulary: (5 questions) Actual sentences from the workshop are used and students are asked to write the meanings for words in each sentence. The purpose is for students to learn vocabulary using the context of the workshop.
5) Sequence of Events: 5 events from the unit are listed and students are asked to put them in the order in which they happened. The purpose is to help students review the events and to identify sequence.
6) True/False: (5 questions) Students read statements based on the workshop and decide if they are true or false. The purpose is for students to review the readings and become critical readers.

This assignment can be used as classwork or homework. The book is not required for completing this assignment. A full answer key is also included.
