Description
Language Loops are the cure for the common card game! Perfect for the traveling SLP, push-in services, and having lots of fun without a mess! I put for a grade range of 3-6 as the words are at a 3-4 grade level but would be appropriate for students in 5-7 grade who are still developing their vocabulary. The format is elementary and middle school friendly, so older students will not feel that they are using an elementary material.
This set has 120 WORDS! That's a lot of practice! It has 3 Language Loop sets with 40 words each: synonyms, antonyms, and multiple meaning words.
How to Play:
- Punch a hole on the left side of each strip and put them on a ring or clip to keep strips together. You can mix up the strips so point values ( tallies ) are scattered.
- Before you start, determine the number of points ( tallies ) the winner must reach. Have each student read the question. If they can answer with the correct target they earn the number of points ( tallies ) shown on the strip. The first one to the set amount of points ( tallies ) wins!
-Students can keep track of points on a whiteboard, separate sheet of paper, or on their desk/table with a dry erase marker.
* Feel free to off BONUS POINTS for answering question a student couldn't, giving an additional information, etc.
