This activity blends many parts of our learning: Science (squirrel hiding his nuts for winter), Language (prepositions, sequence).
Students draw their own map to show Sammy the way to his hidden nuts. Once the map is complete, students use sequence and preposition words to lead the reader to the treasure.
Cut out around the map, and around the written directions and paste both parts on a page of construction paper. This will give a colour border around both parts, and displays well.
