Description
This resource is a challenging sequential (clues lead into each other) escape room that involves logic puzzles, cipher puzzles, and connection challenges all related to language and composition. It is meant for advanced high school students. Though it was created especially for AP Language and Composition students, it could be used as a challenge for high school students studying rhetorical devices (and related literary devices), logical fallacies, textual analysis, and the rhetorical situation.
To prepare students for this challenging escape room, I use my Literary Explorer's Stations activity. You could also allow your students to look up answers on the computer to help them on the more challenging terms. My students had a blast making connections and working together while learning about language and composition.
This resource includes a five challenging sequential puzzles. Students will move around the room to find clues until they find the figurative key to win the game! A teacher's guide, set-up guide, and answer key with explanations are also included.
This escape room requires:
