Product Description

Many students learn language first through the repetition of life routines. The advantages of language that is predictable in scope and sequence and repeated frequently means many opportunities for learning. This categorizing life skills activity can be used with students who need to identify items by location, by function, or by association.

• 8 rooms are provided, plus garage and yard: living room, dining room, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen; nursery, office, laundry room.

• A wide variety of furniture and accessories are also provided.

• There is a game with a game board and game cards for students to practice answering questions about places in the house and to name items given function and location.

• There are also 22 "task card" type cards with 4 responses for each, to be velcro'd for independent work. Or use as a cut & paste activity.

Remember: smaller items can be cut out in squares or rectangles - no need for precision for small objects.
