Your students will love lifting the flaps to help Larry the Leprechaun find his missing pot of gold! This book targets themed vocabulary, MLU, yes/no questions, and more! It has two interactive elements to keep your students engaged! (lift-able flaps & picture symbols). Perfect for St. Patrick's day lesson plans!

Recommended for pre-k through 1st grade depending on skill level. Designed for students working on expanding language skills.
This would also be great for inclusion lessons and special education classrooms!
★ Interactive Book-please note: this book has to be constructed just like any other book downloaded on TPT, make sure you are willing to put it together before you purchase. Lamination and velcro required for assembly (it is worth the work)!
★ No-prep comprehension worksheet with pictures (use with crayons, markers, or bingo dotters).
★ Color-A-St.Patrick's Day scene dice coloring activity.
★ Read and Color worksheet (the student colors the objects they find on each page).
The book's pages are about a 1/2 of a horizontal sheet of paper (right under depending on your printing settings). Make sure you check your printing settings before printing (some printers may put a large margin around the page, making the book pages smaller). Please see my previews to see how the book looks compared to my hand for a size reference!
How to use: Read the book to the student. At the top of each page, the student is asked to look behind the objects to see if the pot of gold is there. The student is then prompted to lift the flap and look. They will then answer yes/no (verbally or by pointing to the symbol). The student then will match the picture symbols to the box in the phrase and verbalize the phrase (“He found a _____”). Tapping the boxes as they say it (model when appropriate) encourages verbalization! On page nine of the book there is a removable pot of gold symbol. The student will turn the page and place it at the end of the rainbow (my students love this part!).
