After teaching students classes that they take in school, this logic problem is a great review activity for their reading skills. It can be used as a Do Now type activity or a homework assignment.
The set up scenario: 6 students are talking about their favorite classes. The object of this problem is to determine each students favorite school subject.
After reading the set up scenario, there are 6 clues that will help your students figure out which class each person likes. As the students figure out which person does NOT like a specific class, they put an X in that class' box. Each of the students mentioned has only ONE favorite class.
The classes mentioned are: el español, el inglés, las matemáticas, la educación física, la historia, el arte
Once your students figure out everyone else's favorite class, they then have to write 6 sentences that tell each students favorite class.
This logic problem will work with the textbook Realidades - Chapter 2A
An Answer Key is included, along with detailed explanations of reasoning.
