As a side project, I have developed a series of toddler Spanish classes using a character named "Pablo." I wrote, performed, and recorded several songs for this enterprise, and created accompanying multimedia. This is one of the songs off that "album."
This song about las tres comidas, about 50% Spanish and 50% English, uses the words desayuno, almuerzo, and cena, and is sung by a very hungry guy who's just going on and on about all the foods he wants to eat. Included in the list are:
Manzana roja (y una verde), naranja, hamburguesa, mostaza, mayonesa, pollo asado, ensalada, pepino, tomate, lechuga, queso, pastel chocolate, and helado.
The song also teaches the verb "quiero" and that useful expression, "ay, ay, ay."
Other important "datos:"
1. This song supports a coloring book/colored slide show/activity series called "Las Comidas."
2. If you are interested in those materials, you can buy a copy of them that has this song embedded in it with a music video that I produced using animation tools.
