Product Description
This is an entire weekly unit on Spanish directions, with a grammar focus on "estar" and "ir." It contains vocabulary, grammar, practice, and multiple quizzes. The advanced activity is a story about city travel that introduces students to places in the city! :)

Included:
- vocabulary list - with 17 vocabulary words and expressions and grammar points
- powerpoint - with pictures of all vocabulary words for practice
- song lyrics (goes with song "El baile de los manos" from "A Bailar" album by Jorge Anaya)
- grammar lesson - estar and ir
- grammar practice
- reading and grammar quiz (2 versions for retakes with additional practice)
- advanced assignment - an independent activity to challenge strong students (a story "Margarita y el libro" - introduces vocabulary that will be presented the next week (places/transportation) and practices ser vs. estar)

(We normally have a project and speaking assignment each week. For this week, we work with the PE department to put together an obstacle course, where students are put in teams and have to guide each other throw cones, hula-hops, etc in Spanish. There are basic pictures in the PowerPoint)

Rubrics:
- Each quiz has a rubric at the bottom
- In our class, if a student gets 100% correct on the quiz, he or she receives a B (proficient). The student must complete the advanced assignment in order to get an A. This may seem confusing, but works very well in our classes for differentiation. Feel free to adapt the grading for what is best for your class, though. :)
