This is a game like "I Spy" with a twist.
This is a fun song and game I like to use when I am teaching my class about fruits in Spanish. I like to mix my lessons up with some fun activities like this. The students put their heads down and hide their eyes as we sing a verse of the song. I hide the corresponding fruit poster somewhere in the classroom. When the verse of the song ends with, "¿Dónde está la manzana?," students lift their heads and look for where I hid the poster.
It can be played as a quiet activity with students staying in their seats and looking for the poster around the room, or as a movement activity with students walking quietly around the room to find the poster. I love to get children actively engaged using songs and movement.
*Tune: WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS
( TENGO UNA MANZANA ROJA)
*Two versions of the printed song and posters are included. One version has a color background, and the other has a white background. I like to use the color background on my active board, and I print and laminate the white background for my classroom library.
