Vowel Reference Sheet – 3 pages
The sheet has all the pictures and words used in the worksheets. It can be used as a reference for whole classroom instruction or when you are not sure what the picture is suppose to be.
Vowel Handwriting – 10 pages
Be sure to print or copy double sided.
Students practice writing letters.
Top – Students circle all the capital and lower case letters for the letter they are working on. They then count how many lowercase and how many uppercase letters there are for that letter.
Bottom- Students color in all the boxes with capital letters one color and the boxes with lowercase letters another color according to the directions.
Cut and Paste Sorting – 13 pages
Students cut on the dotted line, then cut out each of the pictures. They glue each picture under the vowel that they start with. There are two versions, one with letters at the top and one with pictures for comparing initial sounds
Comparing Initial sounds – 4 pages
Students must find another picture that starts with the same vowel as the first picture in the box.
The vowels are listed below for the students reference. I often have students practice pointing to the vowel they are looking for as they go through each picture choice.
Circle the correct Vowel – 12 pages
Students must circle the letter below the picture that the picture starts with. At the bottom students practice writing the vowels.
There are several versions.
Version 1 – Students compare two vowel sounds.
Version 2 – Students compare three vowel sounds
Version 3 – Students compare all 5 vowel sounds.
