This engaging unit will help you teach your students how to speak about their favorite foods and meals of the day, with a cultural focus on Spain. With appealing pictures, a song, carefully selected videos with related tasks, and a lot of games and activities, students will learn vocabulary such as: desayuno, almuerzo, cena, bebidas, postre, and typical foods for each meal, using sentence structures like: Me gusta, no me gusta, comer, beber. It starts with a short narrative that ties in with family, and includes a review of telling the time and a cultural section on Spanish food, teacher's directions and suggestions, differentiation tips, printable playing cards, as well as a reading assessment and ideas for interpersonal speaking and presentational assessments. The pages follow a logical teaching pace, which will lead you through the unit. The unit is aligned to the new WL standards at the novice mid level. A great resource for a FLES program or a Dual Language class.
