Subject: Spanish (vowels)
Duration: To be used all year round however, should be introduced at the beginning of the school
year. This applies especially to students of the second language. However, it is never too, late to
start this in your classroom.

phonic systems, not give awareness.”
Vowels sound are always the same and foreign students can recognize syllables sounds but not
word meanings. It’s very important to link words with pictures, questions word, word expressions, verbal use, etc. Little by little with repetitions and oral drills, students may associate.
Monday: Present pictures with the vowels (present the five lowercase vowels with the the
rhyme Las vocales en Español) Mira Las vocales que lindas están pero pronto una de aquí faltará
Show the vowel a, describe the picture (Ana vocal a)
Show the vowel e, describe the picture (Eva vocal e)
Show the vowel I, describe the picture (Ina vocal i)
Show the vowel o, describe the picture (Ofelia vocal o)
Show the vowel u, describe the picture (Ursula vocal u)
* This is a game that you can use during the course of a week or more making emphasis in the
Daily vowel: Monday A/ a, Tuesday E/e, Wednesday I/i, Thursday O/o, Friday U/u.
