"SCHOOL'S OUT - LET'S SCREAM AND SHOUT" - name that movie! Okay we all feel like school is out, but there's still a week or two left of speech to perform, bill for, and track data on? But the kids are already in summer mode? What do you do? Use this super simple minimal-no prep unit with 5 speech and language activities to take care of your last week for you while you take care of everything else!! This unit includes:

1) WH Dice: Adapted version of the cootie game. You can use the cootie pieces OR you can make up your own activity. Hence why the blank template is provided. I have given an example on page 4 of "rolling to make sunshine cookies." You could do the same thing for making ice-cream sundaes, game pieces, coloring utensils, etc. Make it your own. Target: WH questions, complete sentences, inferencing

2) Sunshine Goals: Students can write their speech goal in the middle. For artic students, they can write an example of a word/phrase/sentence in each ray on page 5. For language students, have them answer the Wh questions in the rays on page 6. Target: WH questions, articulation, carry-over

3) Following Directions: Use the directions provided on page 7 or make up your own. Give your students the ice-cream materials on page 8 and have them follow directions to make their cone. Target: following single and multi-step directions, receptive language

4) Articula-SUN: Students should roll the dice to see how many words they should say, then how many suns they should color. First to color all 35 is the winner. Target: articulation, individualized goals, drill

5) Object Functions: Have students draw a line from the object to it's function then use the sentence strip to state the match (e.g., A sun is for light). Target: object function, expressive language, receptive language, matching

If you don't like what you see, let me know what you would like to see in your dream last week of speech unit :)
