Here’s a one page classroom management system, designed for high school students, that rewards students for doing what they should be doing in class, doesn’t involve food or prizes (only colored cardstock) and is super easy to implement.
This product includes pages for chemistry or physics with and without the Leave Me Alone Card, depending on your needs. All you’ll need is a special hole punch – a heart, star, square or whatever you can find – that your students don’t have access to.
No more negotiating for a late assignment or listening to half a dozen excuses. Students get four late passes per semester or year (your choice). They simply attach the card to the assignment and turn it in.
You punch their “You’re On Fire” card for each grade above a cutoff of your choice. I explain how to do this quickly and easily so it doesn’t add to your already crowded schedule or interrupt class time.
If it’s time for a change in your classroom, this might just be the ticket for you.
