With the theme of a safari, this differentiation packet allows students to have extra practice and review the location of the 26 major countries in the Latin America and Caribbean world region. This packet is ideal for students who work and learn at a slower pace. The packet is self-explanatory, easy-to-use, motivating, and requires little to no monitoring. This packet can be used as a sponge filler too.
Students can work individually or in groups of two. While looking at a color-coded map, students actively participate in learning by manipulating the Velcro pieces to correlate to the number and the country. Once finished, they can check their answers. My students often did the packet until they could get the correct answers.
This packet was made for ninth graders in a world geography class, but it will work with almost any grade level and any subject dealing with this world region.
This download includes a list of needed materials, hyperlinks to images, detailed instructions, and materials I created for this packet. Students are sure to enjoy this activity, and the packet will last for years!
